TURNER CHILD DREAMS OF THE DISASTER.

Otago Daily Times, 9 September, 1909

A whole family named Turner, who lived in our neighbourhood, took their passages in the big steamer for England. One of them, a girl of 16, had a dream before leaving that the Waratah, when a few hours from Durban, would run into a frightful storm, turn over and go down, and all would be drowned. The dream had such an effect upon the poor girl that she was afraid to go by the Waratah, and was very miserable about it. However, the entire family went, and it now seems as if the dream has been realised.

If this is to be believed, it is heart-breaking that this young Turner lass had to contend with a prequel to the inevitable!
