Kalgoorlie Western Argus, Tuesday 17 August, 1909
One of the S.S. Waratah's passengers to South Africa was Mr. Morien Morgan, well-known as a resident of 'Kalgoorlie' for many years. He fortunately booked forDurban, and it was after the boatleft this port that any anxiety wasexperienced in reference to hernon-arrival at Cape Town. Mr. Morgan, who is a brother of Mr. John Morgan, manager of the Oroya  Brown Hill mine, is on his way to visit the South and WestAfrican gold mines, and as his pointof departure inland was Durban,it is presumed he left the steamersafely at that port.
