Northern Times, Saturday 10 December, 1910 P. & O. STEAMSHIP CO.
LONDON, December 6.
The Peninsular and Oriental Steamship Company made a profit of £275,981 during the last 12 months. One company's loss is another's gain, and in this instance the P&O could afford to pay almost the same amount to acquire the Blue Anchor Line good will and five ships. It was onward and upwards for the P&O Line.
