Waratah - retrospective.

ARRIVED-December 15.
Waratah, 8,604 tons, J. E. Ilbery, from London,via South Africa. Geo. Wills & Co., agents. Passengers from London - Mr. K. P. Sawers, Mrs. A. Hay, and Miss Hay, and 34 in third class. From Cape Town - Mr. and Mrs. W. Johns and Miss D. Johns, and 17 in third class, and 723 en route to eastern States.
Interesting retrospective clip on the Waratah, arriving from London on her maiden voyage.
She carried a total of 780 passengers, of which the first class ticket-holders got a mention, and the rest relegated to numbers, including the large (723) component of immigrants to the 'Eastern States'.
